1. Explain how the gear box in a car works. Explain the main ideas. You may use simple sketches, but you do not need to show the details such as teeth on the gears. 2. Give three examples (other than those mentioned in the book) of levers. 3. Draw a sketch which shows how a 1 kg weight can be used to balance a 3 kg load. 4. Draw a sketch which shows how two levers can be used in combination so that a 1 kg weight can balance 60 kg. |
