- viewpoints are biased since many groups are not represented
- lots of security / privacy issues
- people write like they are writing to friends
- computer correlation tools are available (computer trails)
- personal interest profiles created
- cookie trails
- how will information will be used (abuse potential)
- crackers have more information potentially accessible
